Antique pair of folding chairs with marquetry work, original from the mid-20th century and in striking condition. The chairs are covered with an exceptional marquetry decoration which covers their whole front side. The marquetry is manufactured with wood veneer of different species and natural mother-of-pearl. It is an Arabic-inspired decoration composed of geometrical motifs, symmetrical stars and regular borders. The beautiful mixture of materials generates a fine chromatic palette: black ebony, golden lemongrass, brown walnut, reddish mahogany and white mother-of-pearl. The chairs are made of solid beech wood, which can be seen at the back (without any marquetry covering). Their structure is light and original, composed of wooden strips connected by brass rods and rivets which make the chairs easy to fold. This antique pair of folding chairs with marquetry work will surely shine in any room, being the perfect piece to include in classic or contemporary decoration.
