Rare and exclusive portable Schneider record player with plastic suitcase-type case. This article is original from the 1970s and was made in Germany, boasting an unmistakable charming retro look. This wonderful reproducer appears in LUtopie du Tout Plastique, a book written by Philippe Decelle considered the benchmark of the coolest retro plastic design. The record player is in great condition and works like new, with a clear and neat sound that will fill with nostalgic charm any room. It includes a rod system designed to play several records successively. In order to start the player the user must separate the two speakers located at both sides. With their wide net and retro style, these accessories are a good example of the best design of the seventies. Once separated the suitcase must be opened to reveal the turntable that lets the user play any kind and size of records: 33, 45 and 78 RPM. The orange plastic case boasts a deep bright orange color and its design matches perfectly with the latest decorative trends. The turntable, just like the speakers net, is made of solid black matt plastic. The turntable has silvery metal knobs and component parts. This devices design is modern and functional, being quite elegant and simple to use. Outside, the case bears a silver round sticker with the inscription SSS (for Super Sound Set) in three bright colors. Moreover, inside the lid we can see another circular sticker with the brands logo and market name, Schneider. With a great iconic design and insuperable sound quality, this seventies turntable is a real collectors item. Measurements (closed): Width:22.8 in/ 58 cm. Height: 5.1 in/13 cm. Depth: 5.9 in/15 cm.
