This awesome suitcase record player in mint condition is a Bettor Mark 211 model made in Barcelona in the 1970s. It is one of the few units from that period that still remained unboxed; it was obtained from the factory store. The record player comes in its original packaging and preserves the plastic protections, the seals and the instruction and warranty sheets. It is a portable model known as pick-up, with a compact, simple and charming design. It can play 33, 45 and 78 RPM records. The record player is also in perfect working order and preserves all the original component parts and accessories. In different parts of the packaging and the record player itself we can see the printed brand name BETTOR. This company was founded in Parets del Valles, Barcelona in 1956. They manufactured record players and components. The firm was active during the 60s and 70s and their products became highly popular in Spanish homes. Bettor record players stand out for their attractive design and quality materials and mechanisms. In the early 80s the company went bankrupt and closed its doors the record player that we can see in these images has been recovered from the factory store, where it remained for decades. This fine device has wooden case and speakers made of the same material, with some parts covered of black faux leather. It boasts a lovely design that surprises for its simplicity and modern look. The aluminum knobs and parts remain very well preserved and so does the original wiring. The record player works wonderfully and comes with a centre spindle that can be inserted in the center of the turntable in order to play several records successively. This striking Bettor Mark 211 record player is a survivor from the 70s that still shines for its design and quality.
