Manufactured by the year 1891, this is an interesting variety, turkish-like garnished, with a buttonhole for the guarantor. This machete was specially confortable to be carried or to be handled in comparison to the other machetes that were made in order to be used by the expeditionary troops. Besides, we keep the original brown-leathered dragona. The ornamentation was made of brass, with widely monterilla chiseled on his back with plant motifs. The grip is of leather, wrapped with twine and metallic wire to form a set of three strands: a thicker main flanked by two thinner. We must emphasize the good state of conservation of the entire garrison. It ends abruptly in a diagonal line that leads to the tip. In the beginning you can read the fabricants own signature (Theil and QUACK. Elberfeld. GUARANTEED "), its number and an effigy of a bird, probably an eagle. The scabbard, made of brown leather in a beautiful natural state, is beautifully decorated with embossed designs that represent geometric shapes and vegetables. It comes with the original leather scabbard. The length of the weapon is 76.50 cms and 63 cms blade.
