Fine antique machete for infantry officer in Cuba, 1890, and probably used during the Cuban War. The blade has been sharpened and shows some dents; these details tell us that this weapon joined the battle and was used during the content. The machete is in good condition and preserves the black embossed-leather scabbard. The hilt is beautiful; it mounts black turned wooden grip and engraved-brass pommel and base. The pommel is shaped as a horse head and shows a great attention to detail: we can see the reins and the manes clearly. The cross is made of steel and has curved ends. The scabbard preserves the steel locket with the ring for the missing leather strap. This fearsome antique machete for infantry officer is a weapon original from the Cuban War, a historic and beautiful piece. It is the perfect item for a good collection of historic antiques.
