Outstanding saber sword for German Wehrmacht NCO's model 1890 made by Robert Klaas of Solingen. This is a truly original sword which was used in World War II. It is the official model for the uniform of German non-commissioned officers of the Third Reich. So this is a very interesting and attractive weapon for any lover of contemporary history. The sword mounts an anatomic hilt with dark solid-wooden grip. The grip bears a series of parallel grooves which preserve the original twisted wire in perfect condition. The rest of the hilt (D-guard, cross-guard and pommel) are made of steel and show a simple and functional design. Just under the cross-guard, the blade bears an engraved mark corresponding to the factory where the sword was forged, in this case, made by Robert Klaas of Solingen.
