Antique Spanish saber sword for light cavalry troops models 1815, made in Spain in 1839 and with a stylish presence. The steel blade is really good condition, with no pitted areas or visible signs of wear. At the top, near the hilt we can see a hand-engraved inscription in an elegant cursive lettering. The inscription reads: Fábrica Nl. De Toledo Año de 1839 (National Factory of Toledo Year 1839); this makes it possible to date the saber and stablish the place where it was forged. The brass hilt is also finely preserved, with a beautiful D-guard divided in several branches. The D-guard bears the factorys mark engraved at the top. The grip is made of solid wood; it has no twisted wire and the bottom reinforcement ring is loose. Nevertheless, these details do not interfere in the sabers amazing look; it is still an original piece with a strong decorative power. This antique Spanish saber for light cavalry troops model 1815 is a gorgeous piece, authentic and really evocative. Dimensions: Blade Length: 33.86 in / 101 cm. Total Length: 39.76 in / 101 cm.
