Beautiful antique saber sword for infantry chiefs and officers, mod. 1851, made in Spain in the 19th century and in striking condition. The saber mounts a fine blade decorated with subtle engraved motifs, with no signs of rust or wear and really well preserved. The hilt is as fine-looking as the blade or even more, with brass D-guard and cross-guard adorned with many embossed and openwork details. The cross-guard is a really gorgeous part, with the Spanish coat of arms framed by leaves and flowers, and vegetal motifs that ascend through the D-guard and reach the pommel. The wooden grip with carved grooves preserved the original leather covering. The saber comes with its original scabbard, made of polished steel and in great condition too.
