Fine antique French navaja, folding knife or pocketknife from Thiers, made in France in the 19th century and in very good condition. The spring is fully operative; strong and tense, it folds the blade perfectly. So we can ensure that this navaja is in excellent use condition. The blade bears no marks but we can tell that it was made in Thiers, France. In the 19th century, this city stood out for its knife production, assumed by makers such as Riberon, Batisse or Beauvoir, among others. The navaja that we can see in the images has a handle with natural material side plates. The upper plates are decorated with a silver shield, partially gone, while the lower plates are adorned with hand-engraved motifs. These details turn this pocketknife into a very special and decorative item. Any collector will appreciate this antique French navaja from Thiers, original from the time and in use condition.
