Outstanding antique left-hand dagger, made in the 17th century (circa 1650) probably in Spain. This is a 100% original piece, more than 350 years old and in good condition. The dagger preserves the fine patina created by the trace of the centuries, a feature which provides it with even more interest and authenticity. It boasts a stylish and attractive design: the blade shows semicircular notches designed to help the daggers holder to catch the opponents sword during the combat. The hilt mounts a straight cross-guard with long cylindrical quillons and a sail guard. The sail guard moves, but it does not seem to be a defect or that it has come loose from some point, but the model is like that and time has given it slack. The grip is covered with the original metal twine, in fine condition. At the top the blade is wider and has a circular hole; this part is adorned with hand-engraved perpendicular lines. More than three hundred years old, this amazing antique left-hand dagger is ideal for collectors.Dimensions: Blade Length: 16,15 in / 41,5 cm. Total Length: 20,66 in / 52,5 cm.
