Set of 5 Enameled Russian-Silver Teaspoons. Russia, Circa 1900

Set of 5 enameled Russian-silver teaspoons, made in Russia circa 1900 and finely preserved. The spoons are made of gilt silver and bear hallmarks that testify for their origin, ancient age and quality. The design of these pieces is classic and balanced, as beautiful as timeless. They have cylindrical handles with spiral-shaped central part. The ends are decorated with molded silver threads which create sections and shapes; these shapes are enameled in three shades of blue: light, navy and turquoise. These technique has also been used at the top part, at the back of the teaspoons. The silver thread creates a border of circles and a lovely symmetrical design with scrolls and flower-inspired shapes. These shapes bear enamels in different colors: different shades of blue, green, white, red, pink and maroon. The enamels are greatly preserved and no one is missing, making up a rich, luxurious and wonderful decoration.
