Evocative field bellows camera made circa 1900, in really good condition and showing off the great charm of turn-of-the-century cameras. This is quite an attractive piece, perfect to complete a good collection of antique photographic equipment or to decorate a bookshelf. The camera is complete and well preserved; the black-leather bellows shows a small tear at one of its sides, but otherwise is in good condition. It mounts a Cooke III series objective with serial number 96495. The front, bottom and back parts of the camera are made of solid mahogany wood; the rack-and-pinion system that makes it possible to fold and unfold the bellows is made of brass, just like the closing system, the focus screws, the lens frame and the rest of the metalwork. One of the wooden pieces bears the engraved serial number 85290. The rear translucent glass pane is complete and is original too. Nostalgic and authentic, this gorgeous antique field bellows camera is worthy of inclusion in the collection of a good museum of photography. Measurements: Width: 7.67 in / 19.5 cm. Depth (Unfolded Bellows): 11 in /28 cm. Height: 8.85 in /22.5 cm. Rear Glass Pane: Width: 16.5 cm. Height: 12 cm.
