With the aim of making photography popular and make this art accessible to everybody, four years later the inventor designs a camera that can be used with this film rolls. So in 1892 he founds the Kodak company in Rochester, New York. Their first achievement was the Brownie, a cardboard camera with a price of only one dollar. During the first half of the 20th century Kodak grows exponentially and becomes one of the leading photographic companies of all the world. The firm even manufactured the film roll used on the Apollo 11 missions. In 1975 Kodak stands out again after launching the first digital camera; this camera evolved and become Apples QuickTake camera (first consumer digital camera in history). In 2004 the company stops making analogic cameras and focuses on the digital market. Nevertheless, decline comes and in 2011 the firm enters bankruptcy. With a strong investment and a change in direction the brand is reborn and today they keep on manufacturing digital cameras and other products such as printers, ink cartridges or scanners.
