Lot of 9 antique books on Microscopy. Germany, XIX Century

Amazing set containing nine antique books about microscopy, with lovely turn-of-the-century illustrations and in good condition. This set of books contains some publications for professional scientist, but there are also handbooks for beginners, students and science lovers. The all come from Germany (except for one of them which was published in Vienna) and are complete, preserving all their original pages. All of them have hard covers with fabric linings and embossed leather spines, except for the one entitled Das Mikroskop un Seine Anwenung which has hard paper cover. In spite of being made of such a fragile material, the cover is well preserved. At the front cover we can see a lovely engraving depicting four antique microscopes. There is another book, the Die Wunder des Mikroskops edition published in 1878, whose cover shows a wonderful golden embossed microscope in full detail. We can also see the books title and the authors name in great gothic lettering. Moreover, some of these handbooks contain detailed and gorgeous illustrations with all the charm of antique engravings. This scientific books from the 19th century are worthy of a science museum and will shine in the library of a great lover of antique publications.
