This fine device is a telegraph station more than one hundred years old, made in Sweden in the late 19th century and in amazing condition. The station preserves all its original component parts and boasts an impeccable working order. Its attractive design is quite remarkable and turns this piece into a singularly decorative item. The set stands on the original wooden base, composed by three overlaying solid planks that raise it and provide it with a nice presence. The component parts are all made of golden brass except for the black-leather-covered wooden turning coil and the black-enameled crank. The main body bears an inscription in capital letters that reads: St. NT. S. S. FABRIK. KJOVENHAVN, the manufacturer´s name. Under this inscription we can see the serial number Nº 8360. On the other hand, the telegraph key bears a different serial number engraved in the metal: 35459. As stated before, the telegraph stations base is composed of three solid wooden pieces. The top plank boasts a fine light golden color and is protected by a gorgeous transparent finish with a great satin glow. Under this piece we can see another wooden plank, a smaller and darker square plank. This piece bears a small white plate with the number 64 printed in black screwed to its front edge. The two pieces stand on a wooden frame intended to fit the telegraph station into a table so the operator can work securely. Its amazing condition turns this telegraph station into a first-class antique with a great aesthetic and historic interest. Measurements: Width: 7.8 in / 20 cm. Height: 18.5 in / 47 cm.
