Antique Morse key for telegraph station, made in England in the 1930s. This old-time piece is in really good condition and remains in perfect working order too. It is completely original from the time and preserves all its component parts and pieces. The key is designed to work with a telegraph station which will receive the impulses and reproduce them on paper in the shape of dots and stripes. The keys supporting base is a sturdy solid-wooden plank, rectangular in shape and with a fine well-preserved ebony-like finish. The black finish makes up a perfect background for the different silvery-metal and brass component parts of the mechanism to stand out. The key includes the original black-plastic knob, in quite good condition too. This antique Morse key for telegraph station is a lovely detail to decorate an office desk or work table, or to become part of a good collection of ancient mechanical devices.
