Antique French wooden telephone, made in Paris circa 1920 and in good condition. This is a mantel telephone with light-colored mahogany wooden box and original mechanism and wiring. The box is made by hand and shows exquisite dovetail joints in the corners, being also finely preserved. The original transparent finish and the metallic component parts show some signs of the trace of time and use which in no way interfere in the articles beauty and character. The telephone has a classic headset with earphone and microphone, and an extra earpiece for a second listener. The lid has a riveted metal plate with the inscription ASOCIATION DE OUVRIERS EN INSTRUMENTS DE PRECISION PARIS, which can also be seen engraved in the microphone of the headset with the year 1910 and the serial number 21595. The extra earpiece bears its own serial: 12840. The inner mechanism and wiring are original from the time: they are quite complete and in good condition, increasing the articles interest for collectors. Overall, this telephone is a great-looking and charismatic piece whose fine design adds to its good condition.
