Exclusive Junghans Mantel Clock in Perfect Condition. Germany, 1900. Working Like NewThis impressive piece is an antique Junghans mantel clock with oak wood box, made in Germany in 1900. In spite of being more that one hundred years old, the clock is in optimal condition. Its movement has been cleaned and fine-tuned so nowadays it works perfectly. The clock has Westminster chimes system, chiming the quarters and the halves with parts of the typical tune, and the hours with the complete melody. Junghans Uhren GmbH is currently Germanys largest watch and clock manufacturer. It was founded in Schramberg, Baden-Wüttermberg, in 1861 and nowadays is still located in the sam city. Its founders were Erhard Junghans and his brother in law, Jakob Zeller-Tobler, who created the company Jungans und Tobler. The clocks metal movement bears the engraved logo of the firm, a five-pointed star inside a circle, together with the companys name and the inscription E20.This clock is exceptionally beautiful. It has a solid oak wooden box with a classic and sober design. The wood is in excellent condition and so is the clocks face. This is made of polished brass and silvery metal, and at the top we can see two knobs: the left one lets the user silence the chimes, while the right one is designed to control the movements possible advance or retardation. The clock also preserves the original winding key.This Junghans clock, as antique as beautiful, is an amazing article that will fill the smartest room with its personality.Measurements: Width: 32.7 cm/12.8 in.
