French mantel clock made in gilded bronze, with hand painted plaques, from XIX c. The fantastic set of clock and candelabra are settled upon a wooden base made of several pieces of wood of different sizes. The clock box shows beautiful ornamentation of vegetable motifs made in bronce that flow all around it that are beautifully flanked by two lateral nymphs and fruits, very similar to the rococo style. In addition it shows outstanding brass hand painted plaques with flowers of different colours and romantic scenes. The face shows Roman numerals and is finely decorated with a bucolic scene made of ceramic according to the decoration of the other parts of the clock, also hand painted.It ha a Japy Freres 8 days Paris movement, and it chimes the hours and the halves.It's accompanied by a pair of two-light candelabra made also in gilded bronze and same style.
