Magnificent set composed of a desktop clock and a couple of twin candelabra, all of them made of bronze. It is an antique French piece made around 1870. The clock and the candelabra are made of polished bronze and the metal is in perfect condition, with no traces of dents or signs of worn. All the parts are original. On the other side, the clock works perfectly and has been completely revised and adjusted. The candelabra are two beautiful metalwork pieces, very stylized and elegant. Their silhouette is smart and distinguished, and they are very well preserved. Each one can hold five candles, four of them around the central stem and another one on top. The beautiful decoration of these pieces is very remarkable, as they are adorned with many engraved details: volutes, vegetal motives and two lovely sculptures depicting winged sphinxes. The clock is a very valuable and quality item. Its magnificent condition is joined to its beautiful making. On both sides of the box we can see two lion heads holding rings in their mouths, performed in a very classical and elegant style. The surface shows the same decoration of the candlesticks, and the winged sphinxes appear on top of the clock. The face is particularly beautiful and it is in exceptional condition, with no stains or hairs. The machinery is original and bears the engraved serial number 2648, as well as the number which indicates the pendulums length in inches: 4/8. This wonderful set will delight any lover of decorative and antique pieces, being also the perfect detail to adorn the most elegant mantelpiece. Measurements: Candelabra: 175 mm width x 480 mm height. Clock: 290 mm width x 450 mm height.
