Antique medical instrument for gastric lavages and medical enemas, made in Scotland in the 19th century and in excellent condition. This fascinating device is more than one hundred years old and shows off a really attractive aesthetic, typical of turn-of-the-century medical tools. It is finely preserved it is complete and comes in its original storing case. The flexible pipes are somewhat dried out, but the instrument looks fine to the naked eye. The device is made of brass; the metal shows no signs of rust or wear, looking shiny and polished. It bears an embossed mark with the manufacturers name (A. YOUNG) and address in Edinburgh. The storing case is made of solid mahogany wood, in fine condition and with a non-engraved brass scratched and dull, but it could be easily restored by a professional. Every lover of special old-time pieces will find a real treasure in this antique medical instrument for gastric lavages and enemas. Measurements: Width: 10.4 in / 26 cm. Depth: 5.4 in / 13.5 cm.
