Antique surgery set made circa 1850, with original old-time tools. The tools are signed by different makers: we can see the marks of SAMSON A PARIS, LÜER, CHARRIERE and a fourth one whose name it is impossible to identify. The set is not complete but is otherwise an interesting collection of utensils used to perform amputations and emergency operations. It is composed of a saw with a spare blade, several knives and a spatula. All the pieces are in very good condition, with finely preserved black handles and steel blades with slights signs of wear. The storing case is big in size, more than 21 inches long. It is an elongated wooden case outside covered in black leather and with an olive-green felt lining. It includes a removable tray and compartments to keep the tools organized. This fascinating antique surgery set is a piece full of history, charm and interest. Dimensions: Width: 21 in / 53.4 cm. Depth: 6.3 in / 16 cm.
