Very antique wig or hat display original from the 18th century, made of solid wood and metal and in very good condition. Although its original purpose was to support wigs, which many ladies and gentlemen wore at the time, this is the ideal item to be used as an exhibited for ancient helmets and preserve their essence, without using modern plastic stands. This piece is made up of a solid-mahogany base and a metal central mast. The base is circular in shape and is decorated with discreet hand-engraved concentric circles. It is ample and fine-looking, remaining in fine condition. The wood shows off its gorgeous reddish color and delicate veneer. The base stands on three small ball legs that provide the stand with stability. The central mast is cylindrical and is decorated with turned bands. It is crowned by a big ovoid metal piece, perfect to keep in its place the item to be exhibited. This antique wig, helmet or hat display stand will be the ideal accessory to exhibit a valuable collectors piece.
