Beautiful French telescope made in the 19th century. This exceptional item is composed by four cylinders made of polished brass, and is in great condition and perfect working order. The telescope comes in its original wooden box, where it can be stored and that also contains an original wooden tripod. This accessory is also very well preserved and keeps all its parts; it can be easily unfolded and folded. The tripod is painted black and this dark color makes a nice contrast with the shiny golden color of the telescope. The two pieces make up a highly decorative and valuable set. As well as a lovely piece, this telescope is a very antique piece which works perfectly and neatly. The brass is in very good condition, showing only small signs of the trace of time and use. The lenses and eye-pieces are also intact. The small size of the telescope indicates that this is a desktop item. The wooden case which contains the telescope and the accessories is the original one. It is made of walnut-colored wood, with attractive and slim dovetail joints. The box keeps the original black-lacquered iron handle and also two ancient hooks designed to keep it shut. This case is slightly worn due to the trace of time, but the wood is in good condition. This telescope is undoubtedly an ancient and charming item that will stand out in the smartest room thanks to its historical look. Measurements: Length: 750 mm. Eye-piece diameter: 52 mm.
