Amazing German telephone from the 1940s, in excellent condition and perfect working order. It is a classic design made of shiny black bakelite and with a high decorative interest. The telephone is model 38 and its surface is impeccable, bright and polished and with no trace of scratches or signs of wear. It has also been adapted and can be connected to domestic non-digital phone lines. The intertwined cords that connect the mouthpiece with the main body in the original one, and so are the dialing disk and the rest of the parts. The disk is made of black-lacquered metal and is also wonderfully preserved. Through the circular openings we can see the white numbers contrasting with the black background. The disk also bears the same numbers printed it, but smaller in size. The overall look is sober and austere, highly stylish and with an undeniable functional charm. If we turn the telephone upside down, we will find some inscriptions engraved in the metal plate that acts as the telephone base. At the top is the articles model, W 38, and just below we can see a number: 11.53. Then there is another inscription: GK 1 and finally, at the bottom we find a circle with an embossed inscription inside: VEB RFT 305. The base is screwed to the bakelite body and has four solid cylindrical legs designed to balance the telephone. This beautiful vintage telephone will stand out in any room or study, being a unique piece that will delight all lovers of the most original decorative articles.
