Beautiful French valve radio made by LMT Radio brand, manufactured in the 40's. Made of solid wood by combining two noble species (mahogany and mahogany palm), the radio is in excellent condition and has been recently restored. The glaze that covers the wood has a warm glow across the polished surface, which enhances the color and grain. In addition, the radio works perfectly at 220 V, so no transformer in needed. The beauty of the combining woods is joined by the attractive front panel controls, made of copper and white plastic. It has also copper plates, that are fixed on the top and base of the wooden columns located at both sides of the dial. This is black and has a double control, being well protected by a glass panel. It should be noted the presence of a "magic eye" at the top of it, a tuning indicator valve that usually adorned the high-quality radios of the time. On the bottom of the dial we can see the company logo. Although the names of cities and numbers, printed in white and gold, are slightly worn in some areas, they are perfectly legible. The speaker is protected by the characteristic woven fabric, in this case in an attractive antique gold color. The left panel is crossed by thin plated metal rods that bend smartly to the side. The right side also shows an opening that goes round the corner, protected with the same fabric. The back of the radio can be removed to expose the valve mechanism, which is fully repaired. A new cable and plug have have benn incorporated for its proper functioning. This radio is definitely a 100% original piece, beautiful and practical, and whose sound and presence will win the love of real antiques fanatics. Radio measurements: 570 mm wide x 340 mm high x 290 mm deep.
