Elegant French Valve Radio Francq Pau. Works at 220 V.

Elegant and aesthetic French radio made in the late 40s of the 20th century by Francq Pau brand. With sober rectangular shape, it is in good condition and operational. The mechanism works at 200V. The casing is made of mahogany wood and it the varnish is French polish, which enhances its beautiful reddish color. The front panel is covered by sackcloth linen in golden beige color, typical of antique radios. On both sides of the panel there is a wooden cylindrical strip painted in gold and silver. In the bottom, the panel has three black bakelite controls to operate the dial, which is in the middle of the panel. The dial is black and the names of the radio stations are written in greenish yellow letters. The radio mechanism is in good condition, retaining all its original components. The rear is made of plywood and can be removed by retiring the screws. On the rear panel there is a metal plate on which we can read the name of the brand (Francq Radio Pau), the watts (W45), the type (Type 57), the sound quality (Hz 50) and the number of the radio (Nº 71). Overall this radio is perfect to decorate the most elegant living room, and it also has the advantage of being operational.
