Antique theodolite in good working condition and overall appearance considering that it is a field instrument. It is manufactured by the American company David White Company Inc. at the beginning of the 20th century. The theodolite is made of brass and retains its original box. The bubble levels are intact, as well as the graduated discs for the measurement and the screws for the toric and spherical levels. The theodolite is a universal surveying instrument for measuring vertical and, above all, horizontal angles. With other auxiliary tools it can measure distances and slopes. It is portable and manual; it is made for topographic and engineering purposes, especially in triangulations. With the aid of a sight and by means of tachymetry, it can measure distances. Measurements: 30.5 cm (length), 13 cm (width), 24 cm (height).
