This lovely piece is an adding machine with printer, in good condition and in perfect working order. It is an Addical 7, made in France in 1955. The article preserves the great charm displayed by the office designs of the 1950s. Its retro look, full of elegant curves, is perfect to decorate contemporary spaces. The adding machine can be used to calculate quantities and print them afterwards. In order to use it, it is necessary to have a stylus or a pen to introduce it into the gaps of the numbered rollers and displace them to the chosen number. The machine performs additions and subtractions with results up to five numbers and two decimals. The case is made of painted metal, with a lovely matt hammered beige finish. It is a stylish and original color, quite different to the classic dark tones typical of old-style calculators. The front is made of dark-green-enameled metal with white numbers, well preserved and legible. Over the numbers we can see the machines name, ADDICAL 7, printed in white capital letters. The red button with a white star serves to print the results and the operations on the paper roll. The results also appear in boxes located over the numbered rollers. At the top of the adding machine we can see the paper roll on which operations are printed. If we turn the machine upside down we will find a paper sheet stack to the base. It bears the printed instructions in French and two drawings showing how the stylus must be held in order to properly operate. Last but not least, at one side of the calculator there is a small metal sheet with the name of the shop where it was originally sold (ÉCLAIR-BUREAU), the Parisian address and the serial number 300958.
