Mercedes-Euklid 30 Electric Calculator in working order. Germany, 1945

This elegant electric calculator is a rare piece that was made in Germany in 1945 by the brand Mercedes. It is a very special article: a Mercedes-Euklid 30 calculator that was considered the first electric calculator made by Mercedes. Nevertheless, it is not the first model of the same name as in 1905 the company launched their original Mercedes-Euklid mechanic calculator. It is a beautiful machine with a contemporary design and sober; time seems not to have passed over it. It has black sheet metal case with green transparent plastic front and square orange-black buttons. The machine has been adapted so it can be connected to the 220V electric network without a transformer. The inner mechanism has also been fine-tuned so currently the calculator works fine. At the back of the machine we can see a somewhat distressed sticker with the serial number 226 clearly visible.
