Wonderful antique AMCO adding machine made in the USA in 1920, in very good condition and fine working order. It was designed by Fred H. Doerr from Michigan, USA, who filed the patent in 1917. Production was assumed by the Accounting Machine Company (AMCO), located in New York; in 1922 the rights were sold to the Todd company, which renamed the model as Star. The machine that we can see in the images is finely preserved and can be used, being also a very decorative piece. The black-panted metal case preserves its matt finish in good condition; at the front side, just under the numerals we can see a metal plate with the companys name and location. The machine mounts several gears and brakes with red Bakelite knobs and buttons, whose bright color makes a fine contrast with the rest of the design. This striking antique AMCO adding machine will stand out on a desk, a shelf or as part of a collection of mechanical old-time pieces. Dimensions: Width: 6.7 in / 17 cm. Height: 5.2 in / 13.2 cm. Depth: 6.3 in / 16 cm.
