This delicate microscope was made in the first quarter of the 20th century and is a charming and precise article. Its small size suggests that it is a student microscope designed for practical training. Compact and functional, it is well preserved and works like new. The instrument has a black-enameled iron base with a piece that supports the polished brass turret and rack and pinion adjustment. The microscope also has a glass to focus the light and improve the viewing of the samples.The transparent lacquer that protects the brass pieces is the original one. The slight signs of wear it shows only affect the finish: the brass is in great condition. The microscope draws our attention for its nice and simple design.
