Fantastic Leitz Microscope Manufactured in Germany in 1921. Working Wonderfully

Impressive Leitz microscope made in 1921, in excellent condition and working like new. This instrument was made in Germany and comes in its original solid wooden case. With the microscopy comes a series of accessories, all of them original and in striking condition. The microscope is also well preserved: the brass only shows some signs of the trace of time and use that do not affect the metal but remain in the original protecting lacquer. The instrument works perfectly and provides a high-quality vision thanks to the three original lenses of the revolving nosepiece.Leitz Wetlzar was a company that started in 1869, when Ernst Leitz took over the Optical Institute founded by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar, Germany. From then on the company grew and became one of the most important microscopemanufacturers in the world, together with Zeiss Jenna. The firm was also famous for its great cameras, the renowned Leicas. Today the firm is still active under the name Leica Microsystems GmbH, manufacturing microscopes and optic material. This beautiful microscopes turret bears the manufacturers name, Ernst Leitz Wetlzar, and the serial number 219359 engraved in the metal. The instrument can be stored in its original wooden box, in good condition and with nice and delicate dovetail joints. It keeps the original lock and key, fully functional, and has a screwed metal plate with the name of the original distributor: Enrst Leitz, Berlin. Inside we can see a paper sheet with the microscopes serial number, the date of manufacturing and information about the lenses. There is also a case for the lenses with the makers name printed in gold lettering, and a small wooden box with some accessories.
