Antique Bausch & Lomb microscope made in Germany circa 1900. This amazing device preserves all its original component parts. The fine-tuning selector is not functional, but the microscope can be perfectly used to watch samples. The foot is made of black-finished metal and bears a circular brass plate with the engraved serial number 47310. The black enamel finish is in excellent condition and so are the rest of the microscopes component parts. These parts are made of brass and preserve their original transparent finish. At the left side we can see a small ivory lever with a brass base, a very unusual detail which is not common in these devices. The revolving nosepiece mounts three original lenses signed by the brand. The rack-and-pinion system is also finely preserved and moves fluidly. The microscope comes in its original storing case, made of solid mahogany wood. This amazing antique Bausch & Lomb microscope stands out for its great look, fine working order and careful design, being a piece worthy of the best collection. Dimensions: Width: 5.9 in / 15 cm. Height: 13.8 in / 35 cm.
