Antique brass students microscope with storing case, made in England-France circa 190. This curious device seems to be a combination of parts belonging to different microscopes. The foot appears to come from a French instrument, while the tube was probably made in England. Anyway, the microscope looks really attractive and preserves all the simplicity and the elegance of scientific turn-of-the-century devices. It is in fine working order and can be used to watch samples. It mounts a green-enameled metal foot, maroon metal sample plate and brass turret. The storing case is made of mahogany wood with a fine golden-reddish color, and is in excellent condition too. This antique brass students microscope is an ancient piece, in working order and with a very singular attractive. Dimensions: Foot: Width: 3.4 in / 8.8 cm. Depth: 3 in / 7.8 cm. Height: 12.6 in / 32 cm.
