Antique Austrian Reichert microscope made in Wien, Austria circa 1900, in good condition and fine working order. The microscope mounts a black-enameled and brass horseshoe foot; the top part is made up of brass and chrome-plated metal. The brass parts show some signs of wear, due to the trace of the time and the use, which provide the instrument with a singular patina of authenticity. The design includes a three-lens revolving nosepiece, with all the lenses signed by Reichert. The microscope comes with a Reichert eyepiece too. The rack-and-pinion system works fine and moves smoothly, making it possible to focus the samples accurately. The turret bears a beautiful hand-engraved inscription with the manufacturers name and address and the serial number Nº 12999. The name W. REICHERT WIEN can also be seen engraved on the microscopes foot. This antique Reichert microscope, more than one century old, is worthy to belong to a collector with judgement. Dimensions: Width: 3.35 in / 8.5 cm. Depth: 5.12 in / 13 cm. Height: 13.78 in / 35 cm.
