This austere and decorative Clariola barrel organ is more than one hundred years old, and even so it its in wonderful condition. Made circa 1890, this is a beautiful item that works perfectly, reproducing the tunes with a neat and nice sound. The organ is made of solid mahogany wood, strong and with the warm dark red tone typical of this noble specie. The woods deep veneer and its different shades that go from red to golden provide this singular piece with a very special charm. This barrel organ preserves all its original parts and its nice French polish has been restored so the item shines in all its splendor.The item comes with an original paper roll whose perforations create a nice melody when they touch the mechanisms reeds. To operate the device the user just has to put the perforated paper in the two rolls designed to hold it and turn the crank. The organ has fourteen notes and it can play complex tunes, full of antique charm.The piece that comes with this nice article is a wooden amplifier. It is made of solid pinewood, dyed a red color in order to match the deep and warm color of the mahogany wood. This piece has black metal shutters that keep the lid closed; when we open them and lift the lid, we can see a series of compartments that lead the sound outside amplifying it. Inside the lid there is a big black label with the instructions to handle the instrument printed in a tiny lettering. To operate the amplifier the user must put it on the paper when turning the crank, with the lid open.This ancient barrel organs singular charm and the beautiful wood it is made of, as well as its amazing sound, are reason enough for any collector of musical pieces to be proud to own it.Measurements: Width: 300 mm.
