Precious Root Wood Music Box made around 1880. Precious rectangular box that is supported on four longitudinal legs lacquered in black. On each of the sides there is a copper handle decorated with the shape of a delicate flower crowned by a screw. The key to wind it up is at the bottom and it is the original! On the top of the box there is a shield without engraving playing with the contrast of the wood grain. The truly marvelous thing about this delicate box is housed inside, as it consists of a cylinder mechanism that allows the reproduction of six wonderful melodies. It has a central rotating copper cylinder with small pins that register the melody, and the 32-pin comb that offers the possibility of listening to six different complete melodies. The machinery is protected by a glass for better preservation, and the detail of the melodies is attached to the underside of the lid in a sticker peeled off in some areas where it can be read:1.Polka 2.The Weeding Oli..... (Country of Gay Soleil) 3.The Mascot (Song of the Master) 4.The Heart and Hand? (Verse) 5. Pretty Eyes Black (Mazurka) 6. ..................(on)This fantastic music box is in good condition and in good working order. It has mechanics in good working condition, although it does squeak a bit at times. Attached original key and complete comb, something very important to take into account if we want to listen to the melodies from the first day we have it in our possession!Small and decorative music box, a very special gift!Measurements: 6 x 15,1 cm (6 x 15,1 cm)
