Antique German organ made in 1895. It is model Amorette, a charming piece which works well, just like new. The organ is square in shape and bears the typical design of the time. It can play tunes recorded on metal disks. This instrument can play 24-note tunes. The organ was made by Euphonika Musikwerke (Leipzig, Germany) and is more than a hundred years old, being nevertheless in good condition and working order. Euphonika Musikwerke was a company which was founded in Leipzig to manufacture musical reproducers. It developed its work between the last quarter of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th, under the leadership of Pietchsmann manufacturer. This company made some popular models of organ such as the Heropon, quite similar to famous Ariston organ. This model is very similar to the ones stated before. The square box that houses the mechanisms is made of varnished solid oak wood. The finish shows some slight scratches, but the wood is in good condition with no dents or missing parts, being quite easy to restore. The beautiful oaks veneer is clearly visible. The handle of the crank used to wind up the mechanism is also made of wood. At the top of the organ we can see the metal reproducer and four brass decorative details, with openwork and triangular in shape. There is one on each corner. On one side of the box there are four circular holes trimmed with metal rings, maybe copper, through which the sound comes out. The organ works very well and plays the metal disks just like new. In this model, the metal flaps clatter on the disks and this sound is heard together with the tune. This is something inherent to this model of organ and it is due to the particular configuration of the mechanism. This detail is part of the organ and also an unmistakable feature which reveals its authenticity and originality. So this is a vintage instrument, full of charm and which speaks of the good old times when these devices were so popular. It will be a magnificent acquisition which will fill with pride any music lover who appreciates musical antiques. Measurements: 390 mm width x 220 mm height.
