Striking antique Write Easy index typewriter made in Germany circa 1900. This item is in fine condition and good working order, though the side knob is loose. It is included with the typewriter should a future owner wish to repair the mechanism. The typing system is functional and the types are in good condition, but the typewriter cannot be used to type documents as the paper rolls are blocked. Though it is not operative the machine is a very decorative piece, entirely original from the time. The black-enameled finish that covers the casing, the colored keys and the plate with the letters and the numerals are in good condition; this future increases the pieces decorative power. The protecting chest is made of black-painted metal, with a gorgeous bright-red finish inside. It mounts side metal hooks to attach it to the typewriters wooden base so it can be easily transported.
