Beautiful Antique Orga 8 Typewriter. Germany, Circa 1935

Beautiful antique Orga 8 typewriter made in Germany circa 1935, with its original storing case and in excellent condition and working order. It is a really striking piece, both for its gorgeous design and incredibly good condition. The typewriter is like new and so is the storing case, which preserves the lock and the key in optimal condition. The mechanism works really fine too: the machine types wonderfully, and the keys and mobile parts move smoothly and accurately. The typewriters body is sturdy and high, made of glossy black-enameled metal. The finish is very well preserved and looks regular and even, with no scratches, dents or any other signs of wear. The golden decals with the brand name, the model and the manufacturing company are impeccable and stand out strongly on the deep black enamel. At the back of the machine we can see a small metal plate with the serial number 202135, clearly engraved on the metal. The keyboard is made up of white circular keys with black symbols and metal reinforcement rings. The keys are almost new, with no stains or other signs of the trace of time. The storing case, made of matt black metal, also preserves the original brand decals and the handle. For its great condition and gorgeous old-time design, this beautiful antique Orga 8 typewriter will be one of the most important pieces in any great collection.Orga Typewriters History In 1922, the tin-toy producer Bing-Werke AG from Nurnberg, Germany entered the field of typewriter manufacturing by launching the ORGA. This was a four-bank model which mounted a removable carriage, single shift and 44 keys. Soon the company would develop and produce a new version of the same model, aiming to fulfil the requirements of those who needed a sturdy typewriter at an affordable price. The new model was launched under the ORGA Privat name.
