Antique J. Rosenbaum microscope made in Berlin, Germany circa 1910 and in very good condition. The microscope mounts a three-lens revolving nosepiece; the three lenses were made by the maker and are original from the time, just like the eyepiece. The black-enameled metal horseshoe foot is in great condition, looking shiny and even and with scarcely any signs of wear. The top part of the microscope is composed of brass and chromed-metal mobile component parts, all of them original from the time and finely preserved. The brass keeps the original transparent lacquered finish which provides it with a fine patina. The component parts move smoothly and make it possible to enjoy using the microscope to watch samples; the rack-and-pinion system is in good condition and works greatly too. At the turret we can see the engraved serial number and the manufacturers name: J. Rosenbaum Berlin S.O. 16 Nº 11846. This antique J. Rosenbaum microscope preserves all its original beauty and functionality though being more than one century old. It is surely an attractive and charming item, of great interest for any collector.
