Stylish German microscope made by Steindorff & Co brand (Berlin, Germany) in 1910. This beautiful surveying instrument is very well preserved and works perfectly. It has a sober and solid design, and its excellent manufacture is surely responsible for its excellent working order: the microscope has survived to our days and can be operated like new. This device is made of polished brass and black-lacquered iron, and its functional design has become even more attractive with the years. The microscope has a three-lens revolving nosepiece. Each lens bears an engraved inscription with the name of the brand, the city (Berlin) and the magnification number. The article keeps all its original pieces, except for the clips used to fix the preparations on the stage. Nevertheless, this detail does not interfere with the instruments operation, whose quality of vision is really superb. Apart from some slightly worn parts, due to the trace of time, this microscope is in great condition. The polished brass turret bears the name of the brand, Steindorff and Co, and the city (Berlin) engraved in the metal. Just under this inscription, framed into a simple and elegant logo, we can also see the instruments serial number: 50710. The Steindorff Company was founded in Berlin, Germany, in 1879. At least 100.000 professional microscopes left the Steindorff workshops until to the end of production, in the 1980s. Measurements: 175 mm width x 385 mm height.
