100 Stereoscopic Plates

Interesting set of 100 stereoscopic glass plates with images of landscapes and families. All in good conditions. This set is a very attractive item that comes in its original packaging: a group of cardboard boxes with handwritten labels on them. The plates come from France and were developed in the early 20th century. The show different images of travel and holiday souvenirs: countryside landscapes, stately gardens and houses, monuments, snowy fields Some photos show family groups and people performing different task; for example, we can see a woman stroking a cow. There are black-and-white images and sepia-toned too, and all of them boast the unmistakable charm of vintage photographs. The plates bear inscriptions with the name of the manufacturer (Verascope Richard) and handwritten data with the name of the portrayed place, and in some cases the year of taking.
