This lovely Chinese hand-decorated porcelain vase is a singularly beautiful item, with all the attractive and the elegance that characterize the finest oriental ceramic pieces. It is a very stylized vase, with a slim silhouette and a nice color combination on the white porcelain background. The vase is decorated by hand with naturalistic images, colorful and charming. The decoration shows a green ground from which a slim tree grows; its top branches out to create tiny branches on which two small birds sit. A lot of small flowers, leaves and plant grow also from the ground and the most remarkable ones are two white and pink flowers that are the central motives of all the composition. The apparently whimsical distribution of the plants is carefully thought in order to create a good balance of volumes that turns this vase into a striking example of the best decorative art. On the other hand, the strokes are precise and delicate; the different colors used by the artist form shaded areas outlined by slim dark strokes that draw the silhouettes of the flowers, plants, leaves and birds. The vases mouth is also delicately embellished by a slim golden edge that provides the piece with light and richness. If we turn the vase we will see the red Qianlong mark (1736-1795), clear and neat, although the vase is earlier almost for sure. Qianlong was the successor of Yongzheng; he was the fifth emperor of Chinese Qing Dynasty.Measurements: Width: 110 mm. Height: 290 mm.
