Charming Chinese blue and white porcelain vase, full of history, that has survived to our days in quite good condition. The vase boasts a nice and simple decoration that was skillfully performed in the shape of slim lines that make up a vegetal-inspired network. The shape of this piece, with a wide mouth and base that become thinner and again wider in the middle, is also beautiful and unmistakably oriental in style.As stated before, the white porcelain the vase is made of is profusely decorated outside with cobalt blue patterns. The center is adorned by a fine classic fringe that separates the neck of the vase from its belly. Both parts show the same decoration, composed by stylized plants and flowers that cover the background with their stems, creating an almost abstract design. On this pattern we can see a big dark blue Chinese ideogram that represents the Doble Happiness, is repeated four times: two symbols are painted in the vases front center and the other two are drawn in the neck.The pieces vase is stained with the furnace mark, a deep brown tone due to the heat generated in the furnace during the firing. This mark is an unmistakable sign of this vases the artisanal origin. At the base we can also see the Chenghua mark (1464-1487), eighth emperor of Ming Dynasty, who ruled over China during twenty three years. In spite of being quite ancient, this vase is in very good condition and shows no flaws, dents or restorations. So this striking vase is a really exclusive piece.Measurements: Width: 210 mm.
