Silver Clock, 1900

Lovely ladies pocket watch made in Germany in 1900. This is a solid silver watch that comes in its original case. It has also a silver chain intended to hang it from its owners neck and is a highly remarkable item because of its fine making, delicate design and excellent condition. The watch itself and its rear cap are made of solid silver, gilded in some parts, while the dustcap is made of golden metal and so is the wonderful movement. The case where this jewel can be stored is dark red and inside is lined with red velvet and bone white satin. This case is the ideal place to keep and protect the watch and is surely responsible for its great condition.The watchs face is one of its most striking parts. It is made of enameled white porcelain and is decorated with small red and green flowers and leaves. The Roman numbers and black and there are also tiny golden-metal embellishing details. The face is in very good condition, showing only some very slight hairlines that provide the watch with a touch of authenticity. Around the face there is a profusely engraved ring that turns the spherical shape into an elegant oval design. The rest of the frame is also engraved with the same decoration. All these parts are made of solid silver.The rear cap bears a simple design with a central flat shield designed to engrave the owners initials in it. Inside this cap we can see a crown-shaped hallmark, a stamp that testifies for the silvers quality and the watchs serial number: 104302. In the golden dustcap we can see an engraved inscription that reads: Remontoir Cylindric 6 Rubys, a description of the movement. Inside this cap we find again the serial number and the word METAL. But if something draws our attraction is surely the watchs most beautiful movement, composed of delicate brass pieces that have been profusely hand-engraved.This delicate and fine pocket watch is a unique and valuable piece.
