Great pocket watch, a very special and antique piece very well preserved and in perfect working order. This item is made of sterling silver and hides an impressive movement, composed of small original component parts engraved by hand with decorative filigree motives. The watch comes from France and was manufactured in the middle of the 19th century, circa 1850, having survived to our days in excellent condition. The movement has been revised and fine-tuned so it works just like new. The watchs box, as stated before, is made of hand-engraved silver. The face is white and bears black Roman numbers and mounts two simple straight hands. The box, the crown the ring and the rear cap are profusely decorated with lovely engraved motives depicting floral designs. Inside the rear cap we can see two serial numbers: 3019 and 3413, and also some hallmarks that testify for the silvers quality. The dustcap is made of metal and bears some engraved inscriptions that describe the movement. The movement is precisely one of the most interesting and beautiful features of this watch. It is made up of delicate metal and brass pieces, engraved by hand with fine floral motives and volutes. All the components are original and provide the movement with an impeccable working, and also with an undeniable beauty. The watch comes with the original winding key and with a nice metal chain with engraved links.
