Amazing Swiss pocket watch made by the famous watchmaker brand Omega in 1934. The watch is made of sterling silver and bears several hallmarks that testify for its quality. It boasts a simple and stylish design with a timeless beauty that will never be out of fashion. The watch has some parts in raw silver and some in gold-plated silver that combine to provide it with a great look. The face is white with black Arab numbers and straight copper hands, and secondary hand at the bottom. The word OMEGA and the classic brand logo (the last letter of the Greek alphabet) can be seen printed at the top of the face. Omega is a luxury watchmaker firm founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by Louis Brandt. In 1917 Britains Royal Fliying Corps chose Omega watches as its official timekeepers for its combat units, something that the American army also did in 1910. The brand was also chosen by the NASA so one of their watches would travel to the Moon with their astronauts in 1969. Omega timekeepers have been part of the Olympic Games since 1932 and even famous character James Bond wears an Omega wristwatch in his films since 1995. The brand is currently owned by the Swatch group. The piece that connects the crown and ring with the watchs box bears the capercaillie-shaped hallmark that identifies Swiss sterling silver items. The rear cap is decorated with a nice flat shield engraved in the center. Inside it has some hallmarks and also the engraved Omega logo and mark, the silver proportion (0,800) and the serial number 8461295 just over an H letter. The dustcap, on the other hand, is engraved with several medals awarded to the maker in international events, and inside bears the same inscriptions and marks as the rear cap. Under it we can see the watchs movement, signed by OMEGA and with the serial number 7642487 engraved in the metal. It has been carefully fine-tuned so it guarantees a perfect working order.
