Elegant Longines Solid Silver Pocket Watch, Ca. 1910. Works Perfectly

Smart pocket watch made of solid silver in 1910 by prestigious watchmaker Longines brand. It is made of solid silver, while the crown and the ring are made of brass. The face and the rear rings are chromed in an original copper color. Longines company was founded in Saint Imier (Switzerland) in 1832, and nowadays is one of the most renowned brands in the watch industry, especially in the field of chronometers. In fact, Longines has been the official timekeeper of many sporting events all around the world. Now the brand is part of The Swatch Group, the biggest watchmaker firm in the world. This pocket watch was made when the brand was expanding more strongly: in 1911 the company was established all over the world, employing more than 1100 workers. The metal is in very good condition, as shiny and polished as new. At the rear we can see a central shield with no engravings in it. The faces sober elegance is highly remarkable, with its black numbers and the seconds bit, and the name of the brand written on it. It shows some hairs (tiny cracks) due to the ancient age of the watch. The hands, with their beautiful filigree shape, are also chromed in a copper tone. The glass is in perfect condition. At the rear we can see the name and logo of Longines engraved, and also the serial number: 3480973. The dust cover is also made of silver and shows an engraving with the Six Great Prizes that the brand had been awarded by the time. The machinery is also signed and in very good condition: the watch works perfectly.
